Click at Your Own Risk

Every day, millions of people receive emails, text messages, social media posts, and pop-ups asking them to click a link.

Some are legitimate, but many are designed to steal your information or trick you into giving away personal details.

Before you click, stop, think, and verify where the link will take you.

Before You Click

 Ask yourself these questions:

  • Was I expecting this message?
  • Do I know who sent it?
  • Is it trying to scare or rush me?
  • Does the website look legitimate?

Common Red Flags

 Watch out for:

  • Unexpected attachments
  • Misspelled website addresses
  • Poor spelling or unusual grammar
  • Requests for passwords or verification codes
  • Messages claiming your account will be closed immediately
  • Offers that seem too good to be true

The Safe Way

 Instead of clicking a link:

  • Open your browser yourself.
  • Type the company's website address.
  • Use the company's official app.
  • When in doubt, don't click.
