My Story

Cyber Basics 101 began with everyday conversations, not in a classroom, technology company, or research lab.

For years, family members, friends, and coworkers came to me with questions about suspicious emails, scam messages, password security, hacked accounts, privacy, and online safety. Many felt overwhelmed because cybersecurity was often explained in complicated language.

When I explained these problems in plain English, people understood them. They felt less afraid and more confident about protecting themselves.

Those conversations showed me that people need practical cybersecurity information, not technical lectures. They need someone to slow things down, explain what is happening, and show them what steps to take.

That experience led me to write Click at Your Own Risk and create Cyber Basics 101.

My goal is not to turn people into computer experts. It is to help them recognize dangers, make safer choices, protect their personal information, and feel more confident using technology.

Everyone deserves to know how to protect their digital life.
